Ask
The project spanned a wide range of materials, study guides, interactive posters, flip charts, trifold brochures, social media content, and a study passport. With only a logo to start from, I was brought in to build a complete visual language from the ground up, one that could hold together across every format and speak to an unusually broad audience: from young children to adults.
Solution
I established a distinctive visual direction built around a rounded layout system, an expanded colour palette that introduced new tones in harmony with the existing logo colours, and a friendly illustration style. To address the range of audiences, I developed differentiated visual approaches by demographic, ensuring each product felt appropriate and accessible for its specific reader, without losing overall brand cohesion. Throughout the process, I worked closely with medical writers to ensure accurate representation of clinical content.
Outcome
The result stood out as one of the more distinctive projects within Sanofi's portfolio from a design perspective, drawing positive feedback from the client. More importantly, the materials gave participants a clearer, more human way to understand their diagnosis and move through the study process step by step.
